A Curlew chick hidden amongst the grass seed heads, photographed from the car window using my new-to-me Canon 500mm f4.5L lens. I've actually had the lens for a couple of months, but only now fully appreciate its qualities and limitations. It's had a hard life on the touchlines of Scottish football grounds, but the optics still produce great results... at least when I use the lens correctly on a tripod.
