House at Sandwater

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks for me back in Shetland working (more on that in my next post), so I’m only now getting around to putting up some new photos… with my exams looming this seems as good a way of procrastinating as any!

Whilst back home my next door neighbour very kindly leant me two top-notch canon lenses (a 300mm f/2.8L and a 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS). Needless to say the optical quality is excellent - the experience is probably going to spoil me for lesser lenses now I know what’s out there! This shot was taken with the 100-400mm.

Unfortunately the weather whilst I had the lenses was so-so - the picture above is typical, with me chasing the patches of sun that broke through the clouds.
