Late Oil-age Lerwick
Silhouette of Lerwick Power Station - a 72.8MW diesel-fired station, which currently provides around half of Shetland’s electricity on an annual basis. It’s intended that Lerwick Power Station will transition into a standby role from 2024, after Shetland is connected to the national grid.
