St Ninians Isle
Another photo from the archives, this time from back home in Shetland. The beach in the photo is actually a tombolo - a sandbar linking St Ninian’s Isle to mainland Shetland. The isle is famous for treasure discovered there, dated to around 800AD, now on display at the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.
