Grey Squirrel at the Botanics

Photo: Grey Squirrel at the Botanics

Having finished my exams – hurrah! – I've been anxious to get out taking photos again. I went for a wander today around the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, where there were plenty of photographic opportunities. This cheeky Grey Squirrel was particularly obliging.

Also, as an extra reward for finishing my exams, I've bought myself a new toy: an Olympus OM-2n camera body (from circa 1979). It arrived the other day. It's probably considered a collectors' item now, but it's a fantastic camera. It's compact, rugged and the controls are very intuitive. The best things about it though is the massive viewfinder, which pretty much puts all other SLRs to shame!
