Up Helly Aa 2019
Guizer Jarl John Nicolson as Thorsten Egilsson, leading his squad through King Harald Street in the snow first thing this morning. The weather though cleared up and at the time of writing the sun is out.
Best wishes to John and his squad! It’s a particularly special Up Helly Aa, as John’s father Jim was Guizer Jarl in 1979, and his two brothers Graham and David were Guizer Jarl in 2008 and 2012, and all are out in the squad this year.
